The Widowed, Divorced and Separated of Omaha is a peer-to-peer Christian Ministry sponsored by the Archdiocese of Omaha
and directed to widowed, divorced and separated persons.
We offer a safe environment where men and women and their families can find support in the following areas:
spiritual, educational, friendship and social.
In addition to monthly general meetings, WDS of Omaha provides social activities that offer friendship and recreation to men and women adjusting to the single lifestyle.
WDS monthly activities include:
• Dances and dance lessons
• Unstructured fun nights featuring board games, cards and videos
• Home Masses followed by a potluck dinner
• Breakfast and/or dinner outings at a predetermined restaurant
Many other activities are scheduled throughout the year depending on the season. These activities are published in the monthly newsletter.
In addition to these activities the Omaha WDS members maintain a faithful prayer line for the intentions of its members and offer an annual day of spiritual renewal.
