Adults

Coping - a six-week program for widowed, divorced, and separated adults of all faiths. These sessions are designed to help individuals work through the trauma of the death of a spouse or divorce. Four sessions are offered throughout the year at various churches in the Omaha area. This program is also offered in Columbus and Fremont, Nebraska. Pre-registration is not required. Beginning Experience (BE) - a weekend retreat for widowed and divorced adults of all faiths. The BE weekend is a time of healing and growth. The weekend begins on Friday evening and ends Sunday afternoon. Pre-registration is required. Check out omahabe.webhop.org for more information and an application.

Annulment Seminar - Usually offered in the spring each year. A representative from the Omaha Archdiocese Tribunal Office will talk about Canon Law and the theological reasons for obtaining an annulment. Time will be available for questions and answers about the annulment process. Remarriage Preparation - Those couples entering remarriage face a higher risk factor than those marrying for the first time. This program assist couples in recognizing the complexities of remarriage, assessing and improving their personal communication skills and working out some to the "nitty gritty" of parenting, step-parenting, combining households and developing a healthy marriage relationship. The sessions are offered on two Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

Children

"Who Am I Now?" - a six-week program for children 7 to 16 who are adjusting to a parent's death or divorce. This session is offered in the summer only in conjunction with the adult Coping sessions. Pre-registration is required.

RAINBOWS for All God's Children - a 12-week program provides a peer support to children and young adults who have experienced parental death or divorce. The purpose of the program is to enhance participant self-esteem by encouraging healing as they work through the grief process. This program is generally offered at various schools and parishes in the Omaha Area. Pre-registration is required.
